' Clear Limestone (¾”) #1

This material is made up of limestone chips that range in size from 5/8” to ¾”. It can be used for decoration around trees (except evergreens), window wells, backfilling, base for basement floors, or as a base for concrete where drainage is needed. Behind Retaining walls.

' Clear Limestone (1 ½”) #2

This material is made up of limestone chips that range in size from ¾” up to 2”. It can be used for decoration around trees (except evergreens), window wells, backfilling, leach beds, or as a base for new driveways. It is very hard to shovel.

' Pea Gravel

This material is a small decorative stone that varies in size from ¼” to 3/8”. It is ideal for patios and around shrubs. It is also great for dog kennels, because it is good exercise for dog paws, and digests well if it is eaten.

' Washed Stone #1

This material varies in size from about 3/8” to ¾”. It is decorative, multi-colored, and easier to shovel and handle than limestone chips. It can be used around pools, shrubs, or over a drain tile. It is also ideal for mixing concrete.   Not recommended for retaining wall applications

' Washed Stone #2

This material varies in size from about ¾” to 1 ½”, but most are around 1”. It is very good for decorating around shrubs, and forming leach beds. Like the #1 washed stone, it is easier to shovel than limestone.  Not recommended for retaining wall applications

' ¼” Traffic Bond

This material is made up of ¼” limestone chips and lime dust.

' ½” Traffic Bond

This material is made up of ½” limestone chips down to dust. It can be used to top dress or fill in holes in driveways.

' ¾” Traffic Bond

This material is made up of ¾” limestone chips down to dust. It can be used to make a temporary driveway or parking area over grass, as a base for concrete, or under asphalt if there is already a base.  A great base material for retaining walls

' 1 ½” Traffic Bond

This material is made up of 1 ½” limestone down to dust. It can be used under asphalt if there is no base, over muddy driveways, or for covering culverts.

' ½” Limestone Chips

This material is made up of limestone chips that vary in size from ½” to ¼”. It can be used for patios, walkways, or driveways if packing is not required. Great for bedding sewer pipes

' Mason Sand

This material is very fine and is used for mixing mortar, and is ideal for sandboxes. It is also great for the base of a swimming pool.   Not recommended for paver bricks per ICPI guidelines.

' Torpedo Sand

This material is coarser than mason sand. It can be used for mixing concrete and under patio bricks. It is also good for gardens.  The ICPI recommended sand for pavers

' Brown Topsoil

A heavy brown sandy loam topsoil with nothing added. It is used under sod and for seeding. It is also used to fill in and build up around foundations.

' Blended Topsoil

30% peat soil mixed with 70% brown topsoil. Used for gardens and flower beds. Lighter in weight than clear brown. We will add up to 50% peat soil (50/50 blend) at no additional charge.

' Field Run Topsoil

A clear brown topsoil unscreened (just the way it is taken from the field). It goes through no machine. It will have some lumps and stones in it. We have no control over it.

' Clear Peat Soil

A very light weight soil and is generally used for mixing with customer’s own heavy/hard or clay-like soil. Do not use alone. It is too light in weight and has no body. It tends to dry out and blow away.

' Compost

A blend of organic materials including leaves, grass clippings, and brush that has been processed to produce a material that is beneficial for lawns and gardens. It can be mixed with either brown or blended topsoil to make a very rich soil that any plant will thrive in.

' Top Fill

Rough fill used, for example, to fill in a deep hole (like an old swimming pool). Top fill consists of lumps, stones, and debris rejected off of our topsoil machines. The screen is approximately ¾”, so the fill will be larger than that

' Shredded Hardwood Bark

This material comes from different mills and varies in color, but in general it is a dark brown color. No dyes have been added to it. The main purpose for using it is to retain moisture and feed plants.
